Catching up

We made it back safely last night and arrived just minutes before the big welcome home ceremony for our hockey team. But today we sorely need to spend our time catching up. The virus that started in my throat moved to my sinuses before it went bronchial on me. I bark when I cough and can hardly squeak out a sound at all. The washer and dryer will work overtime for most of the day. The boys having stayed up after midnight two nights in a row were not ready for bed by 8 last night as much as mom and dad were. Behaving in an appropriate manner is pretty challenging today, and I am not naming names. I think I have the perfect term for our current state of being. Officially we have a major hockey hangover. Thank goodness it is spring break from school this week :) Hopefully we will back on track soon and I can gather my thoughts for a more articulate post. There are some great stories coming out of the state tournament worth sharing. But in the meantime I have to get ready... it seems we start again tonight. 3 on 3. Hockey... c'est la vie.

  2. Oh, I want to wrap you up in a blanket, give you some hot cocoa and plant you in front of the tv for a movie marathon.

I'm practically a doctor with all my medical experience... you can tell Rick I prescribed it for you :)

  3. I'm so sorry you feel so bad!! Nearly everyone in our friend group, and we too, have had this horrid thing.

Can't imagine how you're coping with the traveling, and cold, and everything. I'll be praying for you. Don't push too hard today. The laundry will still be there tomorrow! There! That's your word of encouragement for the day. What would you do without me?! LOL

  4. Libby, so true :) The pace will definitely slow a bit now.

Gitz, just the thought of that makes me melt! We could watch Rob Lowe movies and eat micro s'mores! Ahhh sounds wonderful. What time should I be there?

Robynn, without you I wouldn't have near the laughs I do now, that much I know for certain :)
