What could be better than baking a box of brownies with your friend in the kitchen? Why making TWO boxes of brownies of course. Its no wonder Nolan asks to go play at Riley's house 17 times a day. Nolan has also been trying to sell us on the idea of buying the house for sale next to Riley's house. The fact that the house has two pink bedrooms, hasn't deterred Nolan in the slightest.

A pink bedroom is a small sacrifice to make to be closer to a friend.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is very upset currently as there are no girls in our neighborhood to play with. everyone has boys around here. We are hoping the owners of the house being built on the other side of the street will have a girl her age to play with.
Great pics! So good to have friends. I've often wished and prayed for really close friends for my boys, but that has never happened. The hardness of that situation though, has seemed to drive them closer together and closer to their Dad and that is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteAwwwm friendship is so important. As a girl, I always envied the bond between boys. I know that may sound weird, but maybe from having a younger brother and hearing them talk and plan and whatnot. None of that competitiveness or games that girls play. Not overly sensitive, etc.
ReplyDeleteBrownies sound really good right about now too!

Relationships are more important than anything...Nolan has obviously got his priorities straight...and that says something about how WONDERFUL his parents are!!! And those brownies look scrumptious, btw! Love the fresh look to your blog!! Love you, Janine XO
ReplyDeleteYou are such a gift to your family ... and they to you.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing happy boys in a kitchen baking.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, the boys look so happy. Friends are forever! Wow, boys making brownies? Keep it up boys the girls will love you for your cooking skills.
ReplyDeletetoo cute !
ReplyDeleteand friends at that age seem to last a lifetime...especially if you move right door :)
Vicky, had to tell you that last night I dreamed that Craig and I visited Fargo and stayed with you guys. We became best friends and decided to move there. I helped you babysit and I cooked for you, and you found me a job and a place for us to live, LOL. It just went on and on. :o) Anyway, it was too funny, had to share!
ReplyDeleteChelsea, That is the most hilarious thing I've heard in a long time! Isn't it funny how elements of that are spot on! I totally used to cook and clean for Craig... and I was the one looking for a job at the time... oh that is sooo funny!
ReplyDeleteYou know, we're only 60 miles from where he grew up :) We have lots of extra rooms too, and better than you babysitting with me... we could find all kinds of fun to be had! I even know of a house for sale with pink rooms :)
Just last evening I baked a vanilla cake from the Pillsbury Moist extreme vanilla mix pack! It turned out so good that only 1/4th remains :-)
ReplyDeleteEither I am getting hungry or the pictures are way too appealing- I want to have some brownies too :)
Makes sense to me... each boy has his own pan to devour :)
