I hesitate to add anything to these photos that Rick took. I think he did an awesome job capturing the spirit and emotion of the night. The arena was filled with current spuds, former spuds, future spuds, parents of spuds, teachers of spuds, a community of spuds, united by, a team of spuds. We arrived back in town at 11:30 pm with only one near miss of a deer wanting to run in front of us on the road. Not even a deer could deter us from our mission on this night. We stumbled to bed at 2:30 am after trying to get all the photos and media ready for viewing today. We're short on sleep, high on excitement and hope for the tournament next week.
You may all be sick of how much you will be hearing about his in the days to come. I for one can't get enough. We've simply been denied too many times. The state tournament is a little David and Goliath-like. We are David, in this tournament. Smiling, happy, Davids.
Congratulations! How exciting for you!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robynn, we are beyond excited!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! To achieve this accomplishment is great, but to do it in MN is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words you posted on my blog. My heart just goes out to poor Kaleena. I just wished I could help her more.
Jill, seriously, you were the angel she needed! I have bookmarked your site and will come back to visit again... (loved the pink!!) when some of our excitement calms down :) I also just went and got her button. Thank you again!

ReplyDeleteYou should also have seen that cute little baby boy sitting in front of me, who had been in my arms just prior to my Madeline !! Rick knew what to take a picture of... that is one happy momma!!
So excited to hear details, Gitz, about your own little excitement going on!!
Great photos and congrats. You have a million dollar smile by the way!!!
ReplyDeleteWoot! Go Spuds! That is so great. You were right. The pictures did capture the emotion. They were fantastic. I know you are SO proud. It is fun to read about your hockey adventures. :) I am looking forward to more!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you guys! I remember when my kids were in sports and there were some wins like this one...it's what made all the practices and sacrifices easy!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the moment for as long as you can!!!
Thanks Lilly! Its pretty "tame" excitement after Sandi's wild read yesterday, but it means tons to us.
ReplyDeleteAnita, I hope everyone finds a little something to relate to in all the hockey stuff. It'd be hard to find other things to post about :)
Robin, as parents with young boys, you are so right, we know why we are working as hard as we are right now. We all want that chance to participate and maybe win at a high level of achievement.
Thanks everyone for your sincere words, we appreciate them!
Hi Vicky... where oh where can I get that adorable photo that Rick took of my boys hanging on the glass? I noticed them doing that after the game while they were watching the team get their medals and it broke my heart that I didn't have a way to capture it. Thanks to Rick for doing it for me!
