One word for ya... blech! I'm all for a white Christmas. But black and orange and white for Halloween? No thanks. Wearing parkas for trick or treating really isn't much fun at all. I really don't want to start humming "I'm dreaming of a white Halloween..."
Two days ago.
Today.
I'm thinking I may have to go shovel the pumpkins :)
Oh Vicky....smile, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to see a smathering of snow like that. It's sooo pretty....you can drive through it....It is sooo pretty...it makes for a lovely phot...It is sooo pretty....It sparkles in the sunlight...and....did I mention
It is soooo pretty.
I'm envious.
Love,
Jackie
Ick!, I wonder if that's headed my way. I live in Western WI and we usually get pretty similar weather patterns as MN. It has been WINDY here today. I am thankful that the trick or treating days are over my kiddo's. Hope you stay warm!
ReplyDeleteOh, but snow is SOOOOO pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe hardly ever get that...like once every few years or so. If anything we get ice and that's just a disaster!
ReplyDeleteOh your post was so homey and folksy!!!!! I want to be at your house! Let's trade. I'll give you a California Halloween and you give me yours. I KNOW I should lament with you but I'm bowled over by gray skies, wet streets, and a dusting of snow. I'm SURE I'd get absolutely tired of it if I lived there. But from my vantage point you made that street picture look WAY too inviting, Vicky! lol
ReplyDeleteI HOPE HOPE HOPE it clears up before tomorrow night and it's not too cold.
Vicky, THANK YOU for all your many loving kindnesses to me. It means SO MUCH!
With Much Love,
Robynn
Happy Halloween :-) Even though it is all white, it looks more than beautiful. WOW :D
ReplyDeleteOh Jackie, I can be excited at the white stuff, but honestly my enthusiasm wanes after a month or two. The biggest drawback to early snow is a looooonnnggg winter!! Stick with me friend, you can experience a true northern winter! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteCrochet, it mostly melted today and other parts West of us have had a lot more. The staying warm tonight for trick or treating, that will be a challenge! Hope you have a Happy Halloween!
Kaleena, the snow will be much prettier in December or even the end of November! Have fun trick or treating with the kids!
Stephanie, ice would be bad! Although freezing snow on the streets is the equivalent of ice! Hope you have a Happy Halloween!
Robynn, still thinking of you :) I missed snow when we lived in Idaho... this exact snow... and now after 5 years of it... it has lost its luster again :) I hope there is a small amount of Halloween spirit for you despite the circumstances... something tells me the Wild Man will see to it however :)
Tranquility, just wait :) You haven't seen anything yet!
It is so lovely! I love snow! I do agree that parka's will put a damper on costumes!
ReplyDeleteMissy, indeed they do! But it didn't stop all the little goblins from visiting!
ReplyDeleteEwww... heavy sigh on that one for you!!!! I don't know how we've gotten lucky enough to not have snow in my town yet, but I'm sure the next few months will make up for it in no time :)
ReplyDeleteGitz, I know... so many areas have had it already. Soooo glad it didn't stick around and we had almost 50 today which is a huge relief... theres plenty of time for snow to come!
