Its been so cold and cloudy lately. The sun came out today but it was still sweatshirt weather by baseball time tonight. I heard one of the varieties of trees in our area is dropping its leaves due to the sustained cold temps! Supposedly they grew new ones as it warms again. So these photos of blue skies and sunshine I took a few weeks ago snuck up on me in the nicest way today.

And to be honest, if you look really careful you may just discover which STINKERS are keeping me from being around very much, but I won't name any names. They are keeping me on my toes and running most of my day. So I laughed when I saw that even my lens knows the most important things to focus on when given multiple subjects!

  4. Hi Janine, I managed to get over to Jackie's last night and will have to check out the other blogs on your list, I am sure they will be great as well! My hubby and father in law are both actually photographers, and since I am around it so much, I am taking some steps to learn a little.

Thanks Liss :) I emailed you back btw :) Enjoy your day off!

Robin, great kitty bokeh! It looks like a Ree bokeh picture with the light coming through, I love it!! Hugs to you sweety :)

Kaleena, thank you! My hubby and my father in law are both photographers, so I am spoiled in the camera department! I am using my father-in-law's (I think) Nikon D-100.

  9. You are so right about Janine. She is a very sweet person. I love your shots of the blooms....and isn't it amazing that the camera knew RIGHT AWAY how to focus on the most beautiful blossom(s) in the frame on the 3rd photo...

  14. The BEST reason to be away from Blogsville - your kiddo diddos!!! And I love how they ended up in your "bokeh!" LOL I'm thinkin' you'll have TONS of material when you get done with a summer full of those two. :)

Yesterday, I was driving through the neighborhood and got behind a group of several boys riding like heck on their bikes. Looked like scene out of ET. Being mom to one of these creatures I just knew they had somethin' up their sleeves and, I don't know, it just made me smile.

The photos are GREAT!!!! You are a good photographer, Vicky. We're slowly learning about our digital SLR. It's been fun.

P.S. Thank you for your nice comments I've seen about me! OMWORD!!

  16. These photos are great! The sunshine is good to see! We have had rain everyday this week!
You have a gift with taking pics!

  17. Missy, yeah, we had the rain too, old photos they were. But I officially got my first little touch of color by reading in the sun yesterday while the boys played in the yard, but the clouds are rolling back in... whoever knows these days:)

  18. Beautiful new profile picture, Vicky!!!!! Absolutely terrific!! And but of course...you are related to professional photographers...it shows!!! You are a natural! I will miss you a great deal while I'm away, but will look forward to catching up when I return!!! I treasure your friendship, and have been reluctant to take this break as I have recently had the opportunity to make such wonderful new friends...and that includes YOU!!! God bless you! Hugs, Janine X
